Bruno Mars, is that you?

So this guy steps into the SkyTrain at the 22nd St. and caught my attention because he looks so much like a celebrity. Right?!

Well, this is BC so whether or not this really was Bruno Mars, who knows. It could very well be someone who looks exactly just like him on sunglasses, side view, from afar. I couldn’t help but take a zoom shot of the guy I do not know and post the photo all over the internet without his permission. TMZ is following me on Twitter, if they noticed my post, I would’ve been notified that same day. But no word so far, so I guess this photo is not really circulated enough online to reach this person – whoever he is.

And if it does reach him, I just want to offer my sincere apologies for stealing a photo of you. But you do look like Bruno Mars, and if you’re not him then perhaps you really are copying him (please – the hair and the sunglasses and the leather jacket – it’s so obvious!).

Anyhoo, you really see and meet interesting people in the public transport.

Is there such thing as:

??

Apparently there is. It’s along West 6th Avenue.

Day 106 of 366

The Vancouver Sun Run 2012.

The decision to join the Sun Run this year came after a friend of mine suggested I should give it a try, back in January when I started going back to the gym. I was told training for the Sun Run would be a good opportunity to exercise more and develop a routine, not to mention a definite weight loss in the end heheheh.

Most people train for it extensively in the months prior to the event, to be able to run the 10km straight within the least amount of time. There are classes around the lower mainland that focus on preparation for this race. Well, I do not like treadmills and indoor running, and for the record, I was never a fan of running/jogging. I would much rather box and spar. But I thought at the time, this would be different, let’s see if I can do this.

For my “training” I ran a total of 5 times, I think, once every Saturday only when the weather was nice. One block at a time so I wouldn’t kill myself. The week of the race, I got sick, so really I had no exercise for days. In short, for my first Sun Run, I had a crappy prep. Surprisingly, I was able to run the first 3Km.

Here are select photos:

I walked the rest of the 7Km. Maybe next year I will train better. The Sun Run was a very good experience nonetheless. I definitely recommend it to the locals. And if you happen to visit Vancouver in April, you might be able to catch it and join it! The 2013 Sun Run will be held on April 21st next year.
