<p>One thing I am taking from this entire experience is this salad above. It&#8217;s just mixed greens, beets, avocado, and grapefruits. It became one of my favourites. I had this for lunch today, sort of my treat to myself while still sticking to the plan.</p>
<p>I sort of cheated at dinner because I couldn&#8217;t resist the chicken tinola! BUT as chicken is part of the lean protein group, it wasn&#8217;t a big deal. </p>
<p>Weight record: HAH! As if I&#8217;d reveal it here. But I am happy to say that it is more than 5 lbs loss.</p>
<p>I am going to try my very best to keep on the healthy side of things and will continue looking after my diet. Tomorrow I will plan the &#8220;post detox week&#8221; for my meals.</p>

<p>This is an anomaly. </p>
<p>I imagine if I were to ask RA what&#8217;s his secret, he&#8217;ll probably just tell me <em>&#8220;Clean living, and staying grounded.&#8221;</em> &#8211; which would melt my heart because I totally agree myself. Or at least I&#8217;m counting on it &#8211; because I like to think I&#8217;ve been living clean, simple, grounded, and content, I would also look better when I&#8217;m 40!</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Day #6 &#8211; I can&#8217;t believe I made it this far!</p>
<p>Today has been a fun, long day. The activities were way more interesting than my diet. My friend M and I had an early start, in fact, mine was even earlier because it&#8217;s a long weekend and I also had to drive home to parents&#8217;, pack my stuff, and blah blah&#8230;</p>
<p>I picked M at her house and around 10AM, we met with our friends L&#038;R for a round of Pitch &#038; Putt. Oh what fun!</p>

<p>I lost a total of 1 golf ball. Haha! On hole #1. Yup. I suck. BUT I also found 3 stray balls throughout the 9 holes so really, I&#8217;ve gained 2 balls if you do the math LOL. </p>
<p>So because I intended to hang out with friends the whole day, I&#8217;ve sort of planned how I&#8217;m going to keep up even with the whole detox thing. I brought with me slices of raw jicama for snacks, bottle of water, and a banana for back up. For lunch, I went back to my default &#8220;dine out choices&#8221; &#8211; sashimi, seaweed salad, and edamame. Thank goodness R wanted to eat Japanese too, I didn&#8217;t have to do a lot of convincing.</p>
<p>After lunch, we all decided to drive to White Rock beach to stroll the pier. By then the weather had lit up a bit so it was a little bit warm and breezy at the same time.</p>

<p>Lots of cute guys here who aren&#8217;t my date and worse of all, lots of restaurants where they serve foods I cannot eat! But the real test happened when all 3 of my companions decided they want to eat gelato. There are a few gelato places, but I (emphasis on <em>&#8220;I&#8221;</em>) took them to my favourite gelato place by the pier&#8230; and I couldn&#8217;t have one! I was tempted to get the fruit flavour (was eyeing on the pineapple), but I then I thought, I&#8217;ve gone this far to give in, what&#8217;s another day?! My friends couldn&#8217;t believe it, but they were supportive and gave me a pat in the back&#8211; while they lick their gelatos in cones.</p>
<p>I have good friends and I thank them for not teasing me even further. Very mature!</p>
<p>Also, the server did not ask me if I wanted a gelato myself. Bless him for not doing so.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In the midst of all the Richard Armitage mania and this detox program I&#8217;ve got myself into, I&#8217;ve found more time to update this blog. Must be the inspiration?</p>
<p>Day #5 recap: Oh what a hectic day this turned out to be. Today I went to a hot yoga class for the first time. Yes, I did my usual gym class for an hour and half, then an hour of yoga. Could I be more a superwoman than I am today?</p>
<p>My girl friend MM took me to yoga class, and then took me to dinner after. I had no choice but to break my rule of 100% no meat tonight because we ate out. BUT, but, I picked the healthier choice which was sashimi! Might as well. I checked the detox handout and tuna is actually an &#8220;optional&#8221; item (only for when one absolutely needs a lean protein in their diet).</p>

<p>Oh and I also had a bowl of steamed edamame.</p>
<p>It felt weird eating that first bite of tuna. I&#8217;m sure I cheated and ate more than 3oz, because right now I feel really full. And it was not even a big serving. I am guessing my stomach has probably somehow shrunk a bit these last few days?</p>
<p>Anyway, two more days!</p>

<p>A light intake tonight, miso soup. With tofu. Yes!</p>
<p>I was really looking forward to making this, my own version of miso soup. I went to the grocery to buy miso paste. When I reached the tofu aisle, I was almost too tempted to give my friends F &#038; N  a quick phone call because there were just way too many types of tofu to choose from! Remember that shampoo commercial when this girl walked the shampoo aisle and she couldn&#8217;t decide what to get? I felt that way in the tofu section. I picked one almost as if I was blind folded and hoped when I get home and open that package, it&#8217;s actually the right tofu that I want. I was relieved when it actually was, thank God. </p>
<p>Then I took the left over cucumber and wakame seaweed from last night, added it to the boiling water with miso paste, and voila! </p>

<p>By the way, the other girl in my detox group updated us that when she felt light headed today, she gave in and had some pistachios. Oh I&#8217;m telling you, at the groceries today I almost gave in too. It was the Lays BBQ chips for me. Ugh&#8230; </p>
<p>3 more days. 3 more days.</p>
<p>Tomorrow&#8217;s going to be a busy one. I have gym again after work and then a quick dinner before heading to a late yoga class my friend M is taking me and a couple of other girl friends. Why all these activities happening the same week I do detox, I have no clue.</p>
